My recent stay at Hostel The Globe was a delightful experience. I stayed for three nights while exploring the city. The hostel's location was perfect, situated on the outer edge of the vibrant red light district. The rooms and facilities were clean and well-maintained, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. One of the highlights was the affordable and tasty food, which was a pleasant surprise in comparison to other options in the area. The bar was a great place to unwind, with a late-night happy hour offering buy-one-get-one-free on Heineken. The smoking lounge provided a cozy atmosphere with pool tables and TVs showing sports channels.
Would recommend this hotel.

Great value for money with friendly staff and a nice lobby area to relax. the location was fantastic, within walking distance to many attractions and easy access to public transportation. It was also convenient to have discounts available for activities in the city.
The staff could be unfriendly and rude at times, and the room was quite hot without any fans provided. there was no secure luggage storage option, despite what was advertised on the website.

Great Location, Comfortable Beds with Clean Sheets
During our recent stay at The Globe, we were absolutely thrilled with the location. Right off the red light district and close to the station and Dam square, it was perfect for exploring the city. We booked a private 4-bedroom and although it was hot in Amsterdam, we didn't expect the room to feel like a sauna. It was so hot that we joked, "You could boil veg in here!
The Wi-fi was a bit disappointing as it only worked by the door, but thankfully there was a convenient socket nearby. Although there were only two sockets in the room, one of them was bizarrely located in the bathroom powered by the light!

Great location, easy check-in, spacious room, good ventilation, bar/restaurant a nice addition. Friendly staff and good vibe. Beds comfortable, clean rooms, bathroom exactly as described. Bar downstairs had good Japanese food. Clean bed sheets, cozy room.
